I just finished publishing my first book on Amazon, and like a paper airplane it soared to the sky and came crashing down. Well, maybe not as dramatically, but it was #1 for a very short while in its category and then slowly glided down off the charts.
It wasn’t the books fault. It was my fault. I didn’t have a strong platform for my book to launch from. Just like a rocket ship, you can’t expect a book to take you to the stars without a solid launching pad to spring from. At least it didn’t blow up at the launch site. That would have been a mess (computer keys everywhere).
Yes, with an e-book, the launch pad is my computer, more importantly, my website.
Wisdom from a Teen
My son seen my floundering and gave me some 18 year old’s words of wisdom. “What’s your goal, Mom? You need a goal. Otherwise, you’re just a ship on the ocean with it’s sail down, going which ever way the waves take you.”
I knew he was right and after a short, I’m proud of my son moment, I decided to take the afternoon to journal and write a vision statement. I asked myself, “How will the future look if my purpose is fulfilled?”
The thought that popped into my head was “I envision a world without Zombies.”
In my book “i-matter: a clear path to living a balanced life between the material & spiritual worlds” I talk about Zombies being people who don’t live as Intelligent Matter. Zombies are stuck in sameness and believe there is only one correct way of doing things. They are not open to the many possibilities of life or different paths of travel. Their favorite saying is “This is the way it always has been and always will be.” This line of thinking creates an opening for abuse and destruction of the Universe. The Universe thrives on diversity and dies with singularity.
- I want to create a world of openness and diversity.
- I want to eliminate Zombies by changing Zombies into thinking, living creatures.
- I want to teach people how the Universe really works and how we work in the Universe.
- I want to educate people so they are more excepting and strong enough to make the right decisions.
- I want a society of self-sufficient individuals living in cohesion and not using each other or the environment.
That is my vision statement and that is why I decided to create a community site on my blog www.i-matter.org
I am still in the process of getting all the programming implemented and creating some community guidelines. If you are interested in joining this community, please sign up for an invite and I will let you know when the community forums are up and running.
